The location of the marriage line/attachment line is below the finger of Mercury and above the heart line, at the side of the Mount of Mercury. Most amateur palmists refer to attachment lines at the side of the palm to be marriage lines. It will be better to call marriage lines as attachment lines. The marriage line/attachment line if bending downwards towards the heart line is considered to be a negative aspect. If the marriage line/attachment line is leaning down towards the heart line it is the same as explained above. The deep-leaning marriage/attachment line greater the stress the relationship exerts.

We calculate age on the marriage line from 16 to 60. This is only an estimate based on the palmist’s judgment. Book timings may not always match real life. Always consider the person’s social background before drawing conclusions.

Divorce indications are mostly seen on the headline in the initial part of the head line or heart line. Break on the Money line may indicate a failed relationship. Break on money line at the intersection of head and fate line indicates trouble around the age of 35. Mount of Mars and Venus if heavily marked may indicate a terrible relationship.
Please note that even with a perfect marriage line a person may have a divorce. It’s a combination of all lines put together that can tell about the possibility of divorce, not just one line.

If the marriage line ends in/on a square it preserves the relationship from bad health or soured relationship. Still, it’s better to have a simple marriage line instead of a square or any other sign. A simple attachment line is not a drain or a drag on the person’s hand that is being analyzed.

The fork on the marriage line pointing towards the heart line strains our relationship and attachment gives us stress and anxiety. If the attachment line fork points towards the fingers it’s still better. If our relationship is normal it brings no strains all the forks, trident, and square island on the marriage line/attachment line makes it complicated. It’s better if our relationship remains simple, so should the lien of marriage.

If the marriage line attachment line has a triangle it’s a good sign. The triangle on marriage lines is rare. Triangles on almost any part of the hand in palmistry are considered to be good, for example on life or fate line it means property.

Love or arranged marriage can be told by the love marriage line on one’s palm. The indications are as follows. To understand about love marriage line we must first know what is a love marriage and an arranged marriage. While going ahead of love or an arranged marriage what do we prioritize?
In an arranged marriage the priority from the side of a male in most cases is a beautiful girl and a respectable family. Love marriage is mostly purity in love, where the person marrying does not seek desire money or beauty from their partner. The problem is that person desiring a love marriage may not have purity in love towards their partner, the priority is a rich family and a beautiful partner. Most people getting married may not have purity in love.

When the heart line ends on the Mount of Jupiter, it often indicates a love marriage. This person values emotions over material things. They don’t focus on wealth or appearance. Instead, they fall in love without caring about financial status or family assets.

This question is asked in my home country India. The joint family are breaking and the nuclear families are growing. So the support system is not available from our joint family. Palmistry Second Marriage
A person may have multiple marriage line’s on one’s palm but may remain a bachelor. Even if a person has a single marriage line the person may have a second or third or fourth marriage as well. A second marriage may be represented on other portions of the palm not just on the marriage line. To get the answer to who is likely to marry twice or more times we must know first know what may prompt a second marriage. A person may marry twice for various reasons like
- partner dies early
- falls in love with another person
- unable to conceive with their partner
- bad finance of partner
- lack or excessive sexual desire of partner
- unable to commit to one person
- bad communication or distance gets created between loved ones
- lack of fire in the partner
- mental instability/depression of partner or self
Each point mentioned above will indicate second marriage in a different way in palmistry. So there is no fixed sign/lines for dual marriage. I will an article dedicated to this point sometime later solely concentrating upon dual or triple marriage in palmistry reading.
Multiple marriage line
More than one marriage line does not convert into multiple marriages. It may just mean multiple attachments. At times it may convert into an actual relationship and at times it may mean nothing substantial.
A person may have multiple marriage lines and maybe a bachelor or without even a single two-way relationship.
Two marriage line in hand
Two marriage line does not mean a divorce or more than one marriage, it just mean two attachments. The two attachment may or may not convert into a marriage of relationship. What you should be asking instead is will i have a stable relationship.
Three, four or five marriage line palmistry
What applies to two marriage lines applies to multiple marriage lines. Same as what is mentioned above.
Marriage line fork at the end
Simple marriage lines are better than lines with a fork. Abnormality in any aspect of the lines will bring abnormal results. The fork at end of the attachment line will pull the person in two different directions, therefore not a good sign. This does not mean if a person has a fork marriage will end in divorce. Fork towards the end means souring of the relationship towards the end of life. It may mean problems related to compatibility or health issues.
Two marriage line does not mean a person is flirtatious or loose in character.
Marriage line fork at the beginning
If a marriage line starts with a fork it signifies relationship issues right from the start.
It mean at the start of relationship there will be differences or problems in relationship that may trouble the person for a while before everything cools down and becomes better.
Marriage line female palm
There is a debate on what hand to refer to in females. Generally, it’s the left hand in females and the right hand in males.
The right hand is the active hand in a working women’s hands. Non-working women yet socially active we must consider the right hand. The right hand is the active hand while the left hand is the passive hand.
The lines of both palms are matched and considered to come to a final conclusion in males and females. Normally both hands do show similarities. Only very few people do have totally different palm lines/marriage lines.
Break in the Marriage how it can affect the relationship
A broken marriage line is rare and it signifies break in the relationship or connection. This sign alone does not guarantee a divorce. The break-in relationship can be before marriage not necessarily after marriage.
A break in the marriage line usually signals disruption in a relationship. It may point to a breakup, divorce, or serious conflict.
If the line has many small branches or breaks, it can also show low sexual interest or a tendency toward infidelity.
Short Marriage line
A very short marriage line indicates a lack of attachment. Length of a marriage line if the normal length is a good sign. A short marriage line often suggests a brief or less emotionally deep relationship or partnership. This could mean that the individual has had fewer or shorter-term relationships, or that their relationships have not been as significant or meaningful as those of other people.
A very short marriage line indicates the absence of the feeling of being attached to that particular person. This does not mean that the person is not affectionate. It just means the person is not affectionate to the particular person.

If the marriage line inches upwards towards the fingers it’s a good sign as it indicates a fruitful relationship. It is believed that if the marriage line touches the little finger, it indicates that the person will have a strong and harmonious relationship with their spouse.
Long Marriage line
A long marriage line is also thought to suggest that the person is committed to their relationship and that they will work hard to maintain a strong and lasting bond with their partner.
A very long marriage line may indicates reverse as well, it may indicate an extra burden from our attachment. An extra-long attachment line curving towards the heart line, indicates sadness and disappointment.
If this same marriage line curves upwards towards the fingers it may be an exception where the attachments pull this person upwards in all aspects of one’s life.
Marriage line touches sun line
The marriage line that reaches the Sun line or the sun mount is considered to be a long marriage line. The length of the marriage line does not have bearing on how good or bad the relationship is likely to be.
A long line is similar to heavy weights. The length of the line creates extra weight to carry. The question is, how long will one carry the extra weight of a relationship? This is the reason why it is not a good indication to have the marriage line touch the sun mount.
Marriage line in girl’s hands
The meaning of the marriage line on a girl’s hand is in no way different from the male’s hands. We must consider both hands to arrive at the conclusion. If the girl is a right-handed and working woman, importance is given to the right hand.
A girl who goes out often we consider the right hand. A girl who never goes out, for them we consider the left hand.

The marriage line starting from the back of the palm is like the deep roots of a plant. It may mean an unbreakable relationship and attachment provided it is not cut or broken.
Not much has been said about this aspect in palmistry books. It may mean the partner may be a known person. The line showing up on the palm proper under the finger of mercury represents how long will the attachment last.

A person may have a one-sided attachment and yet the marriage line may be present on one’s hands. A marriage line does not guarantee communication with your love. It may purely be a one-sided attachment.
A person may have a purely spiritual and a non-physical relationship and yet have a marriage line.

Consider the fingertip to be the sky and base of palm to be eart and gravity. The gravity pulls an object downwards. Therefore if the marrige line is deeply curving towards the heart line, it indicates the downward pull to be greater than if the marriage line curves slightly.
It actually means the attachment drains the person financially, emotionally or mentally.
Marriage Line curved upwards
The marriage line that curves upward and towards the fingers represents a partnership that lifts or elevates the person. Few people possess this kind of attachment line, which is unique.
Going against gravity is indicated by a line that points upward and toward the fingers. As previously stated, we view a line pointing in the direction of the fingers as equivalent to pointing upwards. On the palm, this is a sign that is favorable.

The line should be independent. That is considered to be a much better instead of two line, joining each other and having an island again is a negative sign indicating a longer period of emotional stress and anxiety from the relationship. We are likely to make mistake in calculation while blindly following the book. We must look at the community , country, social strata etc the person is living in, that may help in out analysis. Hello – I have a marriage line that is very complicated. It is deep and long but it ends not quite a “fork,” as drawn in the pictures above. The bottom of the fork stays a straight line and doesnt bend downwards, but the top part of the fork does fork upward. The bottom part of the fork ends in a very small fork.
normally we give too much of importance to the marriage line. yes it plays a major role in our relationship. But we must consider other lines and other aspects of palm as well to arrive at a conclusion. It is always better to have simple lines including marriage lines. Upward branches on the marriage line is a better indication as the relation uplifts the person on whose hand we see this indication.

dont worry too much. the reason being people with a perfect marriage line may have a divorce as well. Although a simple marriage line is always better. To look for divorce we must look at other lines as well. A problem in the money line can also point toward divorce. therefore we need not be troubled by all the signs on our palm. we as palmist cant be perfect in conclusions.

I am wondering if you can offer any insights into someone with an upper of 2 marriage lines that ends ina very tint fork but a thin vertical line(child line?) cut down through it near it’s end, so that end now looks like a tiny triangle. However the bottom part of the marriage line continues on just a bit past the tiny upper fork & vertical line, as if it continues on a bit afterwards. No breaks in line. What does it indicate when the marriage is crossed by an other little line deeply?
It’s always better to have a simple clear marriage/attachment line without being cut by another line.
If the other line cutting the marriage/attachment line is vertical it indicates children.
If it’s kind of horizontal it does indicates to some degree some disagreements or hardships in the relationship.
But my suggestion is not to be too worried by just one sign. As even a perfect uncut marriage line may indicate a divorce. Some times divorce is not purely indicated on the marriage line.

Please understand, that these lines are called marriage lines but they are infact attachment line. A person may have 3 lines and may not have a single relationship. two branches curving downwards towards heart line, brings some amount of stress for the attachment not necessarily every line indicates marriage. very long attachment line is also negative as it carries extra weight. imagine carrying a 50 kilo person compared to 100 kilo person.
